1. Introduction

By accessing www.comealongcv.com you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older, or have parental permission.

3. Platform Role & Use

ComeALONG is a technology intermediary only. We do not organize, operate, supervise, or control any volunteer activity. We do not employ, direct, or supervise any volunteer.

For Volunteers

Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

For Organizations

All submitted details must be accurate and compliant with applicable laws. Organizations are solely responsible for the safety, supervision, and management of volunteers.

4. Assumption of Risk

BY USING THE PLATFORM AND PARTICIPATING IN ANY VOLUNTEER ACTIVITY, YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE YOU VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATION, WHETHER KNOWN OR UNKNOWN.

This does not waive liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

5. Mutual Release & Waiver

BY CREATING AN ACCOUNT, BOTH VOLUNTEERS AND ORGANIZATIONS EXPRESSLY RELEASE COMEALONG, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM:

  • injury, harm, illness, death, or property damage during volunteer activities;
  • the conduct of any user on or off the platform;
  • the accuracy of any listing or organization information;
  • any outcome of a volunteer-organization relationship;
  • any technical failure.

This release applies equally to volunteers and organizations. Neither party may hold ComeALONG liable for the conduct of the other. It does not apply to ComeALONG's own gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

6. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ComeALONG from all third-party claims arising from your use of the platform, violations of these Terms, violations of applicable law, content you submit, or your conduct toward other users.

7. Organization Responsibilities & Warranties

Organizations warrant that:

  • they are legally registered;
  • all listings are accurate and lawful;
  • they carry appropriate insurance;
  • they will not discriminate against volunteers;
  • they are solely responsible for volunteer supervision and safety;
  • they comply with all applicable laws.

ComeALONG does not verify, endorse, or guarantee any organization or listing.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. COMEALONG DOES NOT WARRANT THAT ANY LISTING OR ORGANIZATION IS SAFE, LEGITIMATE, OR ACCURATELY DESCRIBED.

9. Limitation of Liability

COMEALONG'S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED $100 OR THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID IN THE PRECEDING 12 MONTHS. COMEALONG IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

10. Intellectual Property

ComeALONG owns all intellectual property in the platform. Users retain ownership of submitted content but grant ComeALONG a non-exclusive license to use it.

11. Photo & Media Consent

By creating an account you grant ComeALONG and host organizations a license to photograph or record you during events for promotional purposes. Notify the host organization if you wish to opt out.

12. Account Termination

ComeALONG may suspend or terminate any account at its sole discretion for violations, fraud, misuse, or conduct threatening community safety. Contact info@comealongcv.com for reinstatement requests.

13. Background Check Disclaimer

COMEALONG DOES NOT CONDUCT BACKGROUND CHECKS, IDENTITY VERIFICATION, LICENSING VERIFICATION, OR SAFETY INSPECTIONS OF ANY VOLUNTEER, ORGANIZATION, OR EVENT UNLESS EXPRESSLY STATED.

Both volunteers and organizations are responsible for their own vetting.

14. User-Generated Content

Users are solely responsible for submitted content. Content may not violate applicable law or infringe third-party rights. ComeALONG reserves the right to remove any content at its discretion without notice.

15. Prohibited Activities

  • False or misleading information
  • Unauthorized system access
  • Spam
  • Impersonation
  • Harassment
  • Illegal use

16. Governing Law

California law governs these Terms. Disputes are heard in Riverside County courts. Good-faith resolution will be attempted before litigation.

17. Changes to Terms

ComeALONG may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

18. Severability

Invalid provisions are severed; remaining provisions remain in effect.
